"How to Embrace the Weather Challenge and Make the Most of Every Season"

4.1.24

Savings challenge.

We constantly work and forget that every penny does count to become financially free.

I grew up in the 80’s when credit cards were King 👑! If you can open an account and pay your monthly balance, you're good. I was never taught to save. And so when I went to college, at age 18, I had my first Discover Credit Card. What a huge mistake!!

I’ve spent most of my life paying off credit card debt. Imagine what I would own if I never had a credit card?!?

My credit journey has been much like my weight up and down. In 2021, I had $3K left to be debt-free! $3K!! But then circumstances (I will share in another post) and LIFE happened. I'm up to $15K in debt. It’s almost where I started when I found @thebudgetmom it’s literally 💔.

So 2024, I'm doing it again. I'm being more accountable and aggressive to get this shit paid off. For good this time!

Today, we will be starting the 2nd quarter of 2024. Can you believe we are at 2nd quarter of 2024!?! I have been saving my monthly weather challenge and I will be using that money for my vegetable garden. It’s the first year since doing my garden that I have budgeted and saved money for it. In the first 3 months of the weather challenge, I have saved almost $100 which should be plenty enough for my garden.

In the next quarter, I will use the savings weather challenge to save for a new iPhone.

Have you been doing any savings challenges? What have you saved your money for? If you haven’t, follow me on this journey, and let’s save together!

Today is April 1st. Comment what the temperature is in your area and let me know if you will be saving the temperature for your savings goal.
