My experience with Tesla.
I was so excited to receive an invitation to test drive a Tesla. Imagine that, little ol’ me. Imagine if ALL dealers sent you a free demo to test drive their car. They should! I mean why not? We try on clothes to see if it fits us. We taste food at Costco to see if we want to buy it. I think all dealers should do the same.
Anyway, so I got the invitation, and I have to download their app and create an account with them. Then you have to scan your driver's license in to make sure you are legit.
Someone will call you the day before and confirm your appointment. They want you to go over 7+ videos going over basic blah blah.
Arrive 15 minutes before your appointment.
Check, check, and check. I did it all.
Saturday morning, arrival 8:45 am. Opened the app, and hit I arrived button. Nothing happens. I saw 4 Tesla cars parked and looked at each one…getting so excited.
9:01 am opened the app hit I arrived button and it directed me to call a number. I called..called failed.
9:03 same
9:05 same
9:07 same
Left disappointed 😔 terrible experience.
Called my friend who immediately got through and was told by a Tesla rep in Nevada, LV that I needed to refresh my app. Are you kidding me?!?! I read their instructions and nowhere did it say to refresh my app!
Then I received a text to reschedule but they only give you a window of 4 days during the work week and with work well that doesn’t fit my schedule.
That person said the phone worldwide issue was the reason for the glitch when I attempted to call.
Now I’m thinking 🤔 if this is a worldwide issue with fewer electric vehicles on the road then how are we supposed to have all electric by 2035?
I am still waiting for a response on when I can test it to see what all the hype is about.
