Hardship is no joke in NJ!

ree

2022 was a challenging 😥 year for me.

Having lost my FT job again after finally finding an industry I was curious about and enjoyed the company culture was devastated.

Having to deal with NJ unemployment delayed my checks and thankfully used my savings to hold me over.

Having to feel the crunch of being short on rent, was a sad realization of what was to come in the upcoming months.

Having to apply to many jobs, and go on several interviews to turn around and say I was overqualified or they didn’t see me as a good fit.

Having to process (still processing) my last FT job in my field; how managers had no empathy for my mental health even though I was working in the behavioral health sector.

Having to rush Bella to the vet because I thought she was hemorrhaging. 250 dollars later she is fine but needs an operation.

Having a skin rash with no health insurance and still not diagnosed properly.

Having to look at my mom and tell her everything is OK as she continues to have more anxiety over my situation.

With all that being said, I am fortunate for those special people; who physically called me or texted to check in with me and listen through my trials and turbulent times, I THANK YOU! Thank you for lending me your time, ear, and suggestions. You know who you are. And lastly, fortunate enough to be able to find 2 PT jobs to help my situation before dipping into my 401K.

It’s been a helluva year and hoping to release it all in 2023.
