My love for gardening started over a decade ago when I was married. In our first year as homeowners, we found a great spot in our backyard. We made 10 vertical rows and purchased all our plants. We planted them the same day not realizing the temperature was dropping to frost that evening. We were clueless back then. We ran into the house to get our pots and pans to cover some of the plants, we didn’t have many pots. When we looked back at our garden, we laughed at how our garden looked covered with pots. I now wish I took a picture of it to show you.
Fast forward to six years ago, divorced living in a small space apartment, I was following the life of Joey Feek, a country singer. In her husband's blog
he shared how his wife loved to garden on their farm in Tennessee. She used eggshells and the eggshell carton as the greenhouse.
I of course needed to do more research and looked it up on youtube to see how it works. The purpose of this is to recycle and reuse ♻️ what we have and not spend money during these tough times. Trying to go back to our ancestor's time in our modern world.
The picture above is an example of how I use the eggshell. You can see how well my basil had been growing.
I will be sharing future posts on my gardening tips. And how you too can have your very own garden from seed to table.
Until then, how is your garden doing?
