Are modern blinds worth it?

Remember those blinds where you pulled on the string and you had to fix the blinds because it was turned the wrong way or your cat wanted to see outside and broke the blind? Or you would pull down the white shade and it didn’t want to stay down?

Blinds have changed so much since those days. I recently encountered 2 kinds and love both of them.

One kind is cordless. No strings are involved! Woohoo! You just pull down the blinds aka shades and pull up when you want light in.

The newest kind I saw is remote control blinds! OMG! Imagine having large windows throughout your house with children under 3 and having to pull down all the blinds while carrying a baby and your toddler screaming they want a snack?!?! You would wish you were like Bewitched the TV show (the witch would wrinkle her nose and everything was done with a blink of an eye). Remember her?

Well, now you can have that. With the new blinds system, you use remote control and request the shade/blind to go up or down. Also, you can program the shade/blind to go up anytime you want. You’ll never miss a sunrise or sunset ever again.

Next time you go shopping for blinds, think about how convenient this blind/shade will be in your home.
